Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Katherine Low Settlement with a Royal Visit.
Katherine Low Settlement (KLS), a much loved busy charity which helps the community in Battersea, contacted us for some PR & Marketing help to celebrate its 100th Anniversary.
In 1924 KLS was opened by HRH the Duchess of York (who later became HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother) and in 1962 she returned to celebrate KLS’s 40th anniversary. Over the years KLS has had other royal visitors and wished to commemorate its 100th Anniversary with another royal visit.
We helped KLS to draft and send an invitation for a royal visit which was successful and in January 2024 HRH the Duchess of Edinburgh visited the Settlement. Before the visit we liaised with the Buckingham Palace Press Office, invited journalists including London Live to attend the event and on the day of the visit issued a press release. The story of the visit was immediately seized upon and was featured widely in the local and national media.
We also helped KLS publicise its Anniversary Mural which decorates the reception area of the Settlement; a series of 4 wall hangings which were inspired and funded by the Wimbledon Foundation; an anniversary Street Party and the launch of its Building Appeal.
